About the position

As the National Sales Manager for Commercial and Specialty Vehicles at Vista Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business in this sector. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement innovative sales strategies that not only attract new clients but also strengthen existing relationships. In this position, you will work closely with various departments, outside representatives, and customers to ensure a unified approach to sales. You will be responsible for executing the annual sales plan, managing the sales pipeline, and nurturing key account relationships. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial in conveying ideas and building rapport with clients at multiple levels within their organizations. You will also be tasked with collecting and reporting market and competitor information, which will inform our pricing strategies and product development efforts. Your leadership will be vital in instilling a sense of urgency and accountability within the sales team, ensuring that revenue and profitability goals are met. Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales strategy forward, ensuring a professional approach and instilling urgency and accountability for achieving revenue and profitability goals.
  • Own and coordinate the execution of the annual sales plan through pipeline development and opportunity management.
  • Foster team cohesion towards common company goals and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Nurture key account relationships, ensuring clients receive a unified message regarding the company's services and quality.
  • Identify new product and sales channel opportunities in collaboration with product and project management teams.
  • Collect and report market and competitor information, including product pricing and positioning.
  • Provide regular updates on sales and market activities, developing and updating sales plans and forecasts for new business and new products.
  • Participate in stage gate project reviews and seek market information for planning and pricing strategies.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the sales process, including tools and strategies for success.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and build rapport.
  • Proven ability to sell value propositions at multiple levels within both our company and customer organizations.
  • Track record of success in growing sales and achieving sales objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills with a history of meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A college degree (BA/BS) in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in sales with a preference for custom solution selling to OEM's, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and working with distribution channels.
  • Experience with planning, forecasting, and analysis.
