About the position

The National Sales Manager for Convenience Stores at Fresh Del Monte is responsible for driving sales growth and managing key accounts within the convenience store sector. This role involves collaboration with the sales team and various internal departments to enhance customer relationships and resolve issues, ensuring the highest level of service and profitability for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop existing customer base to grow sales volumes and profits for the department.
  • Initiate, develop, execute, service, and manage sales for designated accounts across the total product offering.
  • Communicate with customers on all aspects of orders processed, including production, required documents, final delivery, and billing information.
  • Understand overall company sales priorities and work collaboratively to support the highest overall company profitability.
  • Manage select accounts and provide backup capacity to handle accounts when shorthanded.
  • Work with internal and external departments to resolve issues such as payment deductions, service level disputes, and quality concerns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the fresh produce industry.
  • Experience working with convenience stores, foodservice distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with customers and team members at all levels.
  • Ability to develop new business while managing existing accounts.
  • General understanding of receivables and deductions.
  • College Degree in a related field from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook); SAP and Power BI experience is a plus.
