About the position

The National Sales Manager, Distribution at Woodstream is responsible for leading and managing relationships with national and regional distribution customers. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and achieving sales targets while fostering a collaborative environment to drive growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead customer relationships with all Woodstream national and regional customers within the Distribution channel.
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with an array of customer ecosystem partners.
  • Develop goals and strategies for account base that complement our brand missions, strategies, and tactics.
  • Develop customer and channel action plans that align with organizational goals and corporate initiatives.
  • Own and build account revenue and gross margin in line with designated annual targets.
  • Identify new business and whitespace opportunities to grow Woodstream's in-market POS and revenue.
  • Build close relationships between Woodstream and customers across various functions and levels.
  • Lead and attend customer line reviews, meetings, events, and trade shows, supporting customer sales teams with training on new products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to foster a culture of achievement and collaborative growth.
  • Leverage available data and insights to develop effective selling stories for Woodstream products.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including product listings, costs, and promotional pricing.
  • Manage forecasting and annual budget planning, identifying opportunities for incremental sales revenue or cost reduction.
  • Measure actual results against goals and analyze for optimization and improvement.
  • Liaise with Customer Service and Sales Operations to resolve customer-specific issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Economics or related subject, and/or commensurate industry experience.
  • 5+ years' sales experience in consumer products goods or services.
  • Experience with Co-Operative, Hardware, or Distribution customers/channels.
  • Strong computer literacy essential (e.g. Microsoft Office platforms including PowerBI).
  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and driven, results-oriented nature with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Agility and aptitude for problem solving and quick learning.
