About the position

The position involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans to meet or exceed assigned goals. The individual will be an integral member of the development team, providing relevant sales data and feedback to inform product evolution, participating in research projects, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional team members. Responsibilities include preparing market analyses to determine customer needs and opportunities for growth, assisting in the development and implementation of marketing plans, and communicating effectively both internally and externally. The role also requires preparing and presenting sales and business proposals, conducting product training clinics, and recruiting, training, supervising, and coaching sales talent. Additionally, the individual will analyze performance against goals, manage divisional expense budgets, represent the company at trade shows, and monitor competition to provide strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed assigned goals.
  • Be an integral member of the development team by bringing relevant sales data and feedback to help inform the evolution of the line.
  • Prepare market analyses to determine customer needs and opportunities for additional growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, using appropriate tools and technology.
  • Prepare and present thoughtful sales and business proposals consistent with company expectations.
  • Conduct product training clinics and sales meetings detailing unique differentiating features and benefits.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, coach and retain top sales talent.
  • Analyze individual performance against goal and address shortfalls.
  • Analyze sales statistics to maximize sales productivity for assigned accounts and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Develop and manage Divisional expense budgets.
  • Represent Company at trade shows and account meetings as a brand ambassador and product expert.
  • Understand retail and wholesale metrics to drive growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the competition and provide product and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, or combination of education and experience.
  • Professional oral and written presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Apparel/footwear experience preferred.
