About the position

The National Sales Manager for Food Manufacturing is responsible for establishing and strengthening customer relationships with key retailers, negotiating agreements, and driving sales growth through strategic planning and data analysis. This role requires a strong focus on achieving annual sales goals while managing a sales team and providing insights to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and strengthen customer relationships with key retailers and negotiate customer agreements.
  • Develop, own, and meet annual and multi-year sales goals utilizing a data-driven sales approach.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze business and market trends to determine opportunities and identify threats.
  • Oversee and coordinate the sales team activities.
  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting.
  • Build and form new partnerships with potential clients.
  • Conduct frontline assessments of market conditions and communicate insights to the team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and competitor activities.
  • Design and oversee the execution of promotional activities to enhance product visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Sales Management experience within the CPG Industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years sales/sales management experience.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
