About the position

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc., a leading producer of award-winning recreational vehicles located in Nappanee, is seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales Manager to lead and manage our sales division and Product Development Team. As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth and achieve sales targets across the country. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the RV industry and will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Class-C motorhomes. In this position, you will develop and implement national sales strategies aimed at achieving sales targets and increasing market share for Class-C motorhomes. You will analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of Regional Sales Managers and the Product Development Team will be a key responsibility. You will set clear sales goals and objectives, providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure the team meets its targets. Additionally, you will create and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key dealers, distributors, and customers will be essential. You will negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitable sales growth while addressing and resolving customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand market presence will also be a critical aspect of your role. You will collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between sales and marketing strategies, monitor and analyze sales performance, and provide regular reports to senior management. This position requires a high level of integrity and professionalism, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth for Class-C motorhomes.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Reach out to customer leads through calling, site visits and social media.
  • Achieve sales targets and outcomes.
  • Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in the RV industry.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing successful sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, and customer behavior in the RV industry.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AS400.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
