About the position

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team and developing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share in the Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the freight forwarding market and experience in managing sales teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by identifying new business opportunities and fostering relationships with key accounts. This position demands a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends and competitors to capitalize on opportunities for growth. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure the seamless execution of sales plans, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency. In this role, the National Sales Manager will lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve both individual and team targets. Conducting regular sales meetings and training sessions will be essential to equip the team with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet sales objectives. The manager will also be responsible for providing regular sales reports and forecasts to the Director of Sales, ensuring that the leadership team is informed of progress and challenges in the sales pipeline. This position is pivotal in shaping the sales strategy and driving the company’s success in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
  • Lead, motivate and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key accounts
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and customer service teams
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales plans
  • Conduct sales meetings and trainings to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve sales targets
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Director of Sales

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sales in the Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding industry
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software
