The National Sales Manager for GI Care at AbbVie is a pivotal role responsible for the management and coordination of various sales support functions and activities for the franchise sales force. This position is designed to integrate and pull through marketing strategies while enhancing execution to maximize return on investment (ROI). The National Sales Manager will coordinate the franchise sales training program, which includes analyzing and developing training opportunities in collaboration with Sales Training, Marketing, and Sales Managers to implement effective training initiatives. The role requires proactive collaboration across the Franchise, Head of Sales, and Head of Marketing to bring innovative ideas, processes, and resources to the forefront, ensuring the delivery of key objectives. In this role, the National Sales Manager will anticipate the needs of the Franchise and Head of Sales, focusing on the success of products and development. This includes addressing the product needs of the GI Care portfolio and overseeing the overall development and timing of sales, marketing, and field personnel. The manager will take the lead in key areas of the Franchise, such as Meetings, Sales Leadership, Performance, Communication, and Leadership Development. A significant aspect of the role involves developing and delivering a communication platform for the Head of Sales, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration with Sales Management and various AbbVie sales support organizations to create, implement, and optimize necessary sales support initiatives. The National Sales Manager will identify opportunities and create strategies to leverage all necessary sales tools and programs to optimize sales opportunities. This includes supporting the franchise sales training program by analyzing training and developmental opportunities within the sales force and coordinating with various stakeholders to implement training initiatives. The manager will lead the development and execution of all Sales meetings, partnering with key leaders to build the vision and experience for each initiative. Additionally, the role involves analyzing and understanding the sales operations needs of the field, working with Sales Management and Sales Operations to optimize sales performance, and collaborating with the Director of Commercial Strategy to develop and implement sales force incentive programs. The National Sales Manager will also work closely with Regional Directors and the Sales Director to develop and execute a sales force communication plan that ensures clear direction and maximizes morale and motivation. This role requires continuous collaboration with NSM peers, Sales Management, Marketing, Training, HR, and various AbbVie sales support organizations to create and optimize field initiatives. The position demands significant work activities, including continuous sitting for prolonged periods, and requires a strong commitment to the success of the GI Care franchise.
