About the position

The National Sales Manager for Ladies Callaway Golf and PGA Tour at Perry Ellis International is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales budgets for each account while representing the company's products and policies. This role involves strategic interaction with upper management and retail buyers, as well as managing sales forecasts and inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for Ladies Callaway Golf and PGA Tour, in addition to standard Account Executive duties and responsibilities
  • Interface with Buyer for successful order execution
  • Interact strategically with PEI upper management
  • Meet with retail buyers and upper management to present product releases and sell to achieve set budgets for each account
  • Partner with the Planning Department to ensure gross margin goals are achieved
  • Build, manage and deliver budgets and sales forecasts
  • Develop and present assortments and door plan recommendations
  • Understand the chargebacks process of each account and establish action points to reduce them
  • Pre-meeting preparation to strategize and organize
  • Sales presentation setup and follow-through including meeting agendas and recaps
  • Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses
  • Manage inventory effectively
  • Travel to accounts and trade shows as necessary
  • Ensure sales information is accurate on the system

Requirements

  • 4 year college degree
  • Minimum of 5 years proven record in men's apparel sales and/or retail buying experience
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to upper management and retailers
  • Ability to work directly with Merchandising, Design, Marketing, Sourcing, and other departments within PEI
  • Excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage accounts independently
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of retail math
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
