About the position

Dana Incorporated is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that enhance the efficiency and performance of vehicles powered by both conventional and alternative energy sources. The National Sales Manager for Light Vehicle Aftermarket plays a crucial role in developing, supporting, and executing the Dana Aftermarket business specifically within the light vehicle channel. This position is integral to establishing and implementing nationwide product sales strategies that align with customer needs and market demands. The National Sales Manager will support sales activities for existing core products while also identifying new product and technical programs to drive profitable growth across customer locations in the United States and Canada. In this role, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of strategies aimed at growing the Light Vehicle and Performance Engine Rebuilder distribution channels. This includes leading the independent aftermarket sales team, representing the voice of the customer within Dana, and managing customer metrics to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. The manager will also collaborate with North American sales teams and work effectively within a matrix structure alongside Dana and global team members. A key aspect of this position involves designing and implementing effective growth strategies tailored to customer locations, understanding technical products, and driving revenue growth. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will manage existing relationships and develop a comprehensive strategy for manufacturing representatives to ensure customer excellence and stimulate sales growth. This role requires research and identification of additional sales and growth opportunities, as well as the development of sales packages and market development initiatives. The National Sales Manager will also perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of Dana's aftermarket business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategy for Light Vehicle and Performance Engine Rebuilder channel of distribution that results in channel growth.
  • Lead the Light Vehicle independent aftermarket sales team.
  • Represent the voice-of-customer within Dana and manage customer metrics.
  • Manage North American sales and collaborate with Dana and Global team members in a matrix structure.
  • Design and implement effective growth strategies across customer locations, understanding technical products to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage relationships with all Light vehicle program groups and associations.
  • Research and identify additional sales and growth opportunities, developing sales packages and market development initiatives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in aftermarket sales, marketing, and product management preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and extensive work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and work non-traditional business hours as needed.
  • Strong customer relationship management capabilities and business acumen to build shareholder value.
  • Proven success in establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Established relationships within light vehicle buying groups.
  • Experience delivering to customers while operating in a matrix environment.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen, including knowledge of manufacturing, finance, and marketing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, able to work professionally with people at all levels.
  • Excellent team building and people skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and obtain cooperation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively as an individual contributor.
