About the position

As the National Sales Manager at M-D Building Products Inc, you will be responsible for driving national revenue growth by developing and implementing sales strategies in collaboration with senior management. This role involves leading a high-performing sales team across seven regions, managing key accounts, and ensuring effective collaboration with various departments to maximize product reach and customer satisfaction. The position offers a significant opportunity to influence the company's sales strategy and contribute to its overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies with senior management to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of regional sales managers across seven regions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various channels and industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Work with HubSpot CRM to monitor, analyze, and report sales progress, including conversion rates and campaign success.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on sales initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and resources to maximize profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; comparable experience will be considered in place of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of success in national sales.
  • Experience in building out sales teams.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing sales staff.
  • Experience in opening territories and onboarding dealers.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM or similar tools.
  • Ability to travel nationally as needed.
  • Experience in the outdoor living or building products industry is a plus.
