About the position

The position involves supervising, planning, and setting objectives for Account Executives and Account Managers at US Foods. The role focuses on monitoring performance against key performance indicators, managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring profitability. Additionally, the position may involve direct management of significant business accounts and requires participation in critical sales calls and business reviews for at-risk accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and set objectives for assigned Account Executives and Account Managers.
  • Monitor and assess individual performance against key performance indicators.
  • Manage customer relationships to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the Sales team and relevant systems.
  • Develop and implement necessary sales procedures.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor performance metrics and progress against annual operating plan targets.
  • Coordinate required training for staff.
  • Determine schedules for adequate coverage of customer relationships.
  • Assist staff in escalating inquiries to relevant corporate functions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of sales and distribution experience required, preferably in the foodservice industry.
  • Experience in restaurant operations is desirable.
  • Experience using quantitative & qualitative research data is helpful.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
