About the position

This position is responsible for generating both new and repeat group business for The Coeur d'Alene Resort, while maintaining relationships with existing clients and corporate accounts to increase revenue, maximize profit, and ensure a quality experience for the client.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for achieving business revenue goals in rooms, food and beverage, and auxiliary revenues through established goals.
  • Solicit and prospect new and existing accounts while developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Develop and execute target accounts and market strategies to secure new business.
  • Qualify client's program specifications, check availability of guestrooms & function space, and present a proposal to the client addressing those needs.
  • Utilize sales tools/systems including Amadeus Delphi, Opera, Ideas, Sertifi, ProposalPath, and Cvent.
  • Respond to client and team member requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Basic understanding of standard hotel conference & event contract clauses (cut-off date, attrition, cancellation, etc.).
  • Provide follow-up calls and correspondence to clients to encourage repeat business/customer referrals.
  • Incorporate company culture and processes into daily work activities.
  • Self-management of assigned responsibilities and workload.
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Promote collaboration and a positive, professional work environment.
  • Attend all daily, weekly, and/or monthly department/hotel meetings for effective communication and planning.
  • Adhere to Coeur d'Alene Resort Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Travel to attend conferences and conduct sales calls to key markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional sales experience required.
  • 3+ Years of sales experience.
  • Professional communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel and work nights & weekends as needed.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Amadeus Delphi experience is a plus but not required.
