About the position

The National Sales Manager at McCollum Heritage 91 will be a key player in establishing and expanding the brand's presence in the wholesale market. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with distributors and retailers, and driving growth and brand awareness for the company's boutique wine label.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Sales Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan to establish our brand in the wholesale market and achieve revenue targets.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts to promote and sell our wines.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Budget Management: Manage sales budgets and forecasts to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and depletion levels, working with distributors and sales managers to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Sales Training: Provide training and support to sales representatives and partners to ensure they effectively represent our brand and products.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and report on sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with our marketing partners to develop promotional materials and campaigns that resonate with our target audience.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in sales management within the wine or beverage industry, with a strong network of contacts with a minimum 2 years of experience as a wine supplier managing a multi-state territory.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a related field or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing wholesale relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for wine and knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and production processes.
  • Maintains all company and employee information with confidentiality at all times.
  • Frequently lifting 20-40 pounds is expected.
