About the position

The National Sales Manager at Sanctuary on Camelback is a pivotal role that contributes significantly to the success of the resort by promoting, prospecting, and selling its offerings. This position requires a proactive approach to sales through various channels, including personal sales calls, written correspondence, telemarketing, and site inspections. The National Sales Manager will focus on generating and maximizing revenue while embodying the Sanctuary Commitments and the vision of 'Where Pride and Compassion Meet.' This role is not just about meeting sales targets; it is about building relationships and ensuring that the Sanctuary brand is represented with integrity and excellence. In this role, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving quarterly revenue goals and the annual rooms budget. This includes performing daily phone solicitations of leads, conducting site inspections with prospective clients, and preparing proposals and negotiating contracts to maximize room and food & beverage revenues. The manager will also prepare and update a quarterly tactical plan for the market segment to identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities. Collaboration with off-property sales channels is essential to ensure that sales efforts are complementary and not duplicative. The National Sales Manager will also play a key role in empowering staff by demonstrating leadership in guest hospitality and customer service. This includes maintaining a positive work atmosphere, understanding guest needs, and recommending appropriate services that exceed expectations. The position requires exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to maintain professionalism and ethics in all interactions. The manager will also be expected to attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions, ensuring that they are aligned with the resort's standards and practices.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2-year or 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Resort Sales experience.
  • Excellent English verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and close sales effectively.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and professional communication skills.
