About the position

This position is responsible for the overall success and growth of large business segments operating under the Henry Schein One umbrella. The National Sales Manager will provide strategic sales direction and managerial oversight to external organizations and internal representatives. This includes driving revenue, increasing profitability, managing compensation plans, and maximizing resources such as the HSD field partners, while leveraging other internal Henry Schein One departments. The National Sales Manager will work closely with strategic partners in the space with whom HS1 has a reseller or other partnership agreement to identify effective go-to-market strategies, manage and grow sales opportunities, and ensure alignment in collaborative sales efforts. The role actively manages, directs, and grows the general financial success of segments, leveraging marketing, product management, implementations, support, and various other departments within Henry Schein One. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will ensure well-trained sales representation at all trade shows and for day-to-day sales efforts. This includes coaching new hires on all aspects of responsibilities/job duties in conjunction with the Sales and Product Trainer and arranging ongoing training for teams. The manager will work closely with the direct sales team to remove obstacles, improve processes, coach on product knowledge and sales skills, and manage sales goals and quotas. The role also involves managing CRM compliance, sales team expenses, and resolving complex issues effectively while participating in special projects and performing other duties as required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Eight plus years of increasing responsibility and complexity in applicable professional experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry practices.
  • Proven independent decision making, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to deliver difficult messages.
  • Ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company.
  • Good negotiating skills and leadership experience.
  • Excellent communications, presentations, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Phenomenal customer service and engagement skills.
  • Great people skills and the ability to be personable and professional.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite.
