About the position

KPRC 2 is seeking a National Sales Leader to enhance market share and exceed revenue goals through innovative strategies and effective coaching of sales representatives. This role focuses on building strong relationships with key stakeholders in advertising agencies and direct clients, ensuring best-in-class service for national advertisers while managing a motivated sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Grow linear market share and exceed linear and digital revenue goals.
  • Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders at leading advertising agencies and direct clients.
  • Work cooperatively with sales management to address issues regarding cross-platform strategies and workflow.
  • Create interactive products, packages, content, and rates appropriate to the market.
  • Manage, engage, and motivate the National Sales team.
  • Achieve and surpass National revenue goals.
  • Make ethical business decisions focusing on profitability of sales organizations and specific proposals.
  • Communicate consistently with GSM regarding station pricing and inventory models.
  • Create sales promotions that serve the interests of clients.
  • Develop sales and profitable advertising programs that deliver expected ROI for advertisers.
  • Provide relevant information to General Sales Manager and General Manager regarding market conditions and sales opportunities.
  • Report weekly revenue forecasts based on pending National business.
  • Lead the station's political sales efforts, including tracking payments and fulfilling public file posting responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in broadcast/digital sales, preferably in TV sales and management.
  • Expert knowledge of research and ratings metrics.
  • Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales is a plus.
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of managing a sales staff to achieve revenue goals.
  • Exceptional coaching skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills to pull/create reports and provide data/analytics.
  • Ability to share vision, gain buy-in, and build loyalty.
  • Flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile.
  • College degree preferred.
