About the position

The National Sales Manager is primarily responsible for driving sales through the development of new opportunities and managing qualified leads. This role involves significant travel to prospect locations, trade shows, and meetings, collaborating closely with senior sales executives to close deals and implement sales strategies effectively. The position requires a proactive approach to lead generation and follow-up, utilizing CRM tools to manage prospects and support sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Making sales by developing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Coordinating qualified opportunities with senior sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Managing Visual Visitor or other website leads into the Sales CRM system to assist with sales outreach.
  • Working with the VP of Sales to focus on target markets.
  • Setting and attending appointments to attain quarterly sales quotas.
  • Using CRM system for prospecting to generate and nurture leads.
  • Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects in the CRM (HubSpot) system.
  • Participating in local and/or state-specific trade shows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven inside sales experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or pharmacy benefit management industry preferred.
  • Strong phone and physical presence with experience making cold calls.
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and presentation tools.
  • Experience working with HubSpot or similar CRM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmacy benefit management industry.
