About the position

The National Sales Manager will oversee and enhance the distributor network for submersible, circulator, and de-watering pumps across the United States. This role involves building relationships with clients, leading sales initiatives, and developing training programs to ensure the sales team meets their goals. The position requires significant travel and collaboration with senior management to set and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new account and dealer opportunities within territory
  • Establish positive relationships with all levels of the account, including buyers and planners
  • Develop and deliver complete presentations and proposals for accounts and territory dealers
  • Monitor expenses and spending to maintain margin standards for each dealer
  • Travel to meet with potential and existing clients, as well as field sales staff
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly sales meetings to motivate the workforce
  • Work with senior management to set revenue and sales goals
  • Create and implement a comprehensive sales training program
  • Mentor the sales team and nurture relationships with associates
  • Create new programs to meet the needs of channel partners
  • Ensure accurate reporting on lead generation and sales efforts
  • Work with senior management to devise and implement innovative go-to-market strategies

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling products into the Municipal and Residential markets
  • BS in business or equivalent industry experience
  • National Account level or equivalent experience
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, problem solve, and present information
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, gross & net margins, percentages
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
  • Salesforce knowledge is a plus
  • Proven ability to meet specific, time-sensitive business goals
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
