About the position

As the National Sales Manager at M Resort, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and fostering relationships within the hospitality industry. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with both existing and potential business clients, which will involve creating strategies to attract new business opportunities. Your role will require you to solicit and negotiate business for the hotel, ensuring that you meet and exceed sales targets. In this position, you will create, prioritize, and implement strategic sales plans tailored to your assigned territory and market segment. Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers while developing new business relationships with prospective groups will be key to your success. You will conduct professional property site tours and presentations, showcasing the unique offerings of M Resort to potential clients. Additionally, you will assist the Director of Sales or VP of Sales with special projects, ensuring that all sales initiatives align with the overall business strategy. Effective follow-up and communication with leads and outstanding proposals will be essential in this role. You will be expected to take responsibility for your actions and outcomes, both with clients and team members, demonstrating a commitment to achieving results. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can leverage your sales expertise and customer service skills to make a significant impact on the hotel's success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with existing and potential business clients.
  • Solicit and negotiate business for the hotel.
  • Create, prioritize, and implement strategic sales plans within assigned territory and market segment.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers and develop new business relationships with prospective groups.
  • Conduct professional property site tours and presentations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in a 4-5 diamond resort.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience.
  • 3 years of prior experience in customer service.
  • College degree in Communications, Hotel Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Delphi or Daylight, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and hotel systems.
  • Strong business relationships within the hospitality community.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to take responsibility for actions and outcomes.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Willingness to travel to industry-related trade shows and sales call trips.
