About the position

The National Sales Manager for Western Builders Supply is responsible for driving sales growth of Marmon Construction fastener brands by leading a sales team and managing key accounts. This role requires expertise in selling to distribution and lumber yards, implementing value-added selling techniques, and maintaining a deep understanding of industry trends. The NSM will also engage in personal selling within the region while guiding the team to increase market share in the Western U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales team to grow existing business and implement strategies for new market share.
  • Utilize sales software to identify trends and develop strategies accordingly.
  • Deliver professional sales and educational presentations to stakeholders.
  • Guide team in moving qualified customers through the sales funnel.
  • Develop strategic growth strategies for multiple markets and customers.
  • Provide a consultative selling experience using product and market knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding quotes, orders, and sales reporting.
  • Manage and grow key accounts within assigned geography.
  • Identify and close new key accounts in the region.
  • Utilize performance management to oversee direct reports.
  • Resolve channel conflicts between distribution and direct dealer channels.
  • Negotiate effectively on behalf of Marmon Construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years leading a high-performance sales team
  • Minimum 10 years' experience selling through a distribution channel
  • 10 years of experience in Building Materials or Construction preferred
  • High degree of integrity and attention to detail
  • Ability to coach a team in value-based selling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Office)
