About the position

The National Sales Manager at Allen Lund Company is responsible for leading the sales force within a branch office, focusing on securing new customers and building a book of business. This role involves developing effective sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and maximizing sales volume through collaboration with transportation brokers. The position emphasizes personal growth, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Contact new customers to secure sales.
• Develop systems and processes for effective prospect identification, qualification, and management.
• Sell and close new shippers.
• Build a book of business.
• Carry out strategies through prospect contact, proposal development, and presentation.
• Conduct effective follow-up and account management.
• Work with transportation brokers to maximize the volume of loads from new customers through ongoing sales meetings and strategy sessions.
• Uphold company standards following the principles of Customer, Company, Office.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of non-asset based 3PL sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and/or LTL freight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem resolution skills.
• Self-motivated and driven with a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Computer and technology literate.
• Willingness to travel as needed for sales.
