About the position

The National Sales Manager at Big Sky Resort plays a crucial role in driving business and revenue growth from the group segment. This position involves identifying potential clients, fostering relationships, and converting legacy clients into new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with strong collaboration skills and the ability to navigate diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit new accounts through prospecting and promoting Big Sky Resort's product portfolio.
  • Manage a top to bottom pipeline of client business, including inquiry responses, proposal development, negotiating, and contracting.
  • Work closely with the Conference Services, Culinary, Accounting, and Marketing teams to deliver client-oriented solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through strategic upselling and cross-selling of resort services and amenities.
  • Develop and present client proposals creatively to close business and achieve seasonal revenue goals.
  • Actively participate in industry associations and events to build the resort's reputation and generate leads.
  • Regularly seek and incorporate client feedback to improve sales processes and the overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Hospitality, Sales, Event Planning, or a related field.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for trade shows and customer events.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Familiarity with client management and product delivery platforms such as SalesForce, Amadeus, and CVent.
