About the position

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for a stove company based in South Pittsburg, TN. This remote position requires 40% travel to establish and maintain relationships with key retail partners, analyze business performance, and develop strategic plans to enhance brand exposure and conversion rates. The role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize product offerings and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Retail sales experience with national-wide retailers to improve brand exposure and drive conversion.
  • Establish strong relationships with key retail partners to influence opportunities and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Analyze business performance and prepare plans for Product Line Reviews to promote market share growth.
  • Lead internal planning meetings prior to customer-facing meetings and reviews.
  • Develop relationships above the buyer/category manager level and deepen partnerships cross-functionally.
  • Work closely with sourcing and product management teams to identify opportunities within the product portfolio.
  • Drive online expansion for assigned retail partners to enhance sales and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop merchandising strategies and market intelligence collateral.
  • Create and implement strategic plans to grow sales while balancing revenue and margin targets.
  • Negotiate with retail partners to optimize shared outcomes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the product sales cycle including strategy planning, negotiations, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Provide strategic input for the annual Operating Plan and manage promotional budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of related sales account management experience, preferably with major national retailers.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple relationships and strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to change and expand skills as responsibilities grow.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
