About the position

The Omni Fort Worth Hotel is seeking a dedicated hospitality professional to lead the group's sales efforts, maximizing revenues through direct sales and marketing activities. This role focuses on enhancing customer value and increasing revenue share from targeted sales accounts, while fostering a proactive sales environment and supporting the development of the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenues for the hotel through direct sales and marketing activities.
  • Lead the property's group sales effort in support of the Director of Sales.
  • Ensure full maximization of rooms' potential and exceed established group rate guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to generate revenues for the hotel.
  • Stimulate productivity of express sales managers through guidance and support.
  • Maintain a proactive solicitation environment for the sales team.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Recommend booking goals for express sales managers.
  • Ensure effective administrative procedures are in place.
  • Manage the express team's sales efforts and maintain focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage effective business plans for assigned segments.
  • Identify industry trends and provide leadership regarding business and leisure segments.
  • Train, mentor, and direct express sales managers and sales coordinators.
  • Execute exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years progressive experience in hotel sales.
  • Large convention hotel experience preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team.
  • Mastery level understanding of the sales process.
  • Ability to develop creative strategies to drive revenue.
  • Experience with account management and proven selling skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and commissions.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly developed customer service skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Delphi, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
