About the position

Empire Today is seeking a National Sales Manager to join our dynamic team of professionals. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategies aimed at enhancing sales performance and improving the quality of customer interactions with Sales Representatives. The National Sales Manager will oversee national Service Plan offerings and other programs as necessary, acting as a central resource for the organization in matters of sales, sales operations, and overall sales effectiveness. This position is responsible for driving sales programs and ensuring that the national sales objectives are met through effective controls of sales policies and procedures. The National Sales Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Service Contracts. In this role, the National Sales Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders, including National Sales, Sales Operations, Market Operations, and third-party partners, to develop resources that assist Sales employees and leaders with new initiatives and growth strategies. The manager will generate insights through quantitative and qualitative feedback methods, developing recommendations for ongoing alignment with business strategy. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will lead initiatives aimed at improving the productivity and effectiveness of sales representatives and management with Service Offerings and other strategic initiatives. The position also involves identifying performance improvement opportunities through existing reporting and the development of new reporting as needed. The National Sales Manager will assist in the creation and execution of educational initiatives related to Service Offerings and other strategic initiatives, ensuring that communications and programs are concise, meaningful, and motivating for the nationwide network of Sales Representatives and Sales Management. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop resources for Sales employees and leaders.
  • Generate insights through quantitative and qualitative feedback methods.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to improve sales representative and management productivity.
  • Ensure effective controls of national sales policies and procedures.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities via existing reporting and new reporting development.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of education initiatives related to Service Offerings.
  • Create and drive execution of communications and programs that motivate success across the sales network.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in a related sales background.
  • Prior experience with direct responsibility for revenues in a national service plan program.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Experience with development and enforcement of sales standard operating procedures.
  • Experience working with outside and indirect sales forces.
  • Strong program management skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and leveraging data for decision making.
  • High level attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
