About the position

The National Sales Manager at Allen Lund Company will lead the sales efforts within a branch office, focusing on non-asset based 3PL sales. This role involves contacting new customers, developing effective sales strategies, and managing accounts to build a robust book of business. The position emphasizes personal growth, teamwork, and a commitment to customer service, aligning with the company's values and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Contact new customers to secure sales.
  • Develop systems and processes for effective prospect identification, qualification, and management.
  • Sell and close new shippers.
  • Build a book of business through effective sales strategies.
  • Carry out strategies through prospect contact, proposal development, and presentation.
  • Conduct effective follow-up and account management.
  • Work with transportation brokers to maximize load volume from new customers through ongoing sales meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Uphold company standards following the principles of Customer, Company, Office.

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum non-asset based 3PL sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and/or LTL freight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective at problem resolution.
  • Self-motivated and driven with an eagerness to work as a team player.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Computer and technology literate.
  • Ability to travel as needed for sales.
