About the position

The National Sales Manager at DR Power is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve strategic objectives through effective planning and execution of sales strategies, particularly focusing on growing market share in Government, Distribution, and Retail sales. This role involves overseeing sales planning, development, promotion, and activities while ensuring alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and directs the work of the functional area.
  • Selects, coaches, and develops the sales team, setting objectives that align with company strategy.
  • Manages organizational talent through performance management and succession planning.
  • Designs and directs processes for performance recognition and improvement.
  • Works with Marketing teams to integrate market development strategies into overall marketing activities.
  • Establishes and maintains critical industry contacts with key customers.
  • Plans and oversees sales meetings, trade shows, and site visits for key business partners.
  • Reviews performance metrics and develops action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts monthly operational reviews on customer support issues and performance reports.
  • Provides strategic input to Product Development and Engineering, managing budgets to meet customer goals.
  • Develops and manages sales and operating budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 3 years of recent sales experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry (Dealers and Distribution).
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel, including overnights.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven success in developing business relationships within the OPE Channel.
  • Experience with National retail sales organizations.
  • Experience managing a field-based sales team within the OPE dealer Network.
