About the position

The National Sales & Product Manager for Aftermarket at Haldex is a pivotal role that collaborates with various functional areas including sales, product management, marketing, and manufacturing. This position is responsible for developing new market opportunities for Aftermarket products and Buy/Sell products specifically tailored for medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The manager will work closely with the Plant Manager to optimize profits while meeting marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. This involves participating in the overall product strategy, conducting research and development to align with customer and industry specifications, and coordinating marketing, sales, and financial plans for product lines. In this role, the manager will interact with sales teams, product management, and external customers to identify necessary support materials for product growth, which includes creating sales brochures and customer-specific materials. The position also requires the development of customized programs aimed at fostering long-term customer growth. Conducting market research to identify and track industry trends is essential, as is recognizing channel and specific customer opportunities to maximize sales and profits. Regular interaction with customers is expected to provide product line updates, technical assistance, and to present product and marketing programs. The role involves up to 20% travel, both domestic and international, with the possibility of increased travel depending on strategic initiatives. This position is crucial for driving the success of Haldex's Aftermarket products and ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales, product management, marketing, and manufacturing to develop new market opportunities for Aftermarket products.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.
  • Participate in overall product strategy, research, and development to meet customer and industry specifications.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing, sales, and financial plans for product lines.
  • Interact with sales, product management, and external customers to determine necessary support materials for product growth.
  • Develop customized programs for targeted long-term customer growth.
  • Conduct market research and identify and track market trends in the industry.
  • Recognize channel and specific customer opportunities and develop programs to maximize sales and profits.
  • Interface with customers regularly to provide product line updates, technical assistance, and present product/marketing programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent; master's degree preferred.
  • Seven to ten years' experience in product management and/or marketing preferred.
  • Advanced project management and leadership skills.
  • Proficient use of computer systems, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to write technical publications that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and various internal departments.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
