About the position

The National Sales Training Manager is responsible for the design, development, execution, and management of training initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills of Fortegra's external customers. This role involves collaboration with various departments to create comprehensive training programs that support customer onboarding and ongoing education in Warranty Insurance and Specialty programs. The position requires a blend of instructional methods and continuous improvement of training content based on feedback and evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training requirements for external customers.
  • Design and develop training programs that support customer onboarding and ongoing training needs.
  • Deliver training using various methods including individual, classroom, video, and web-based platforms.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback on training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal management, subject matter experts, and customer contacts for content development and review.
  • Maintain knowledge of Fortegra's products and processes to support customer needs.
  • Implement and manage a continuous improvement program for assigned customers or product lines.
  • Conduct pre and post training evaluations to assess training effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate training results, adapting programs as necessary.
  • Handle confidential content and ensure proper version control and change management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years' experience in curriculum development, design, and delivery.
  • Three years' experience in insurance, warranty, customer service claims, or retail environment preferred.
  • Minimum five years' experience in a sales, training & development, or account management role.
  • Professional training, instructional design, or facilitation certifications preferred.
  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI.
  • Strong communication skills including oral, written, presentation, and active listening.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects collaboratively and manage them from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide constructive coaching feedback to improve results.
  • Experience with various learning management software and training platforms.
