About the position

The Director of Project Management at National Signage Company is responsible for overseeing the entire project management department, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and meet client expectations. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, client communication, risk management, and continuous improvement of project management processes. The Director will work closely with various stakeholders to develop a scalable project management infrastructure that aligns with the company's business objectives and enhances service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall project management strategy for the signage company.
  • Align project management goals with the company's business objectives.
  • Oversee and manage a team of project managers, coordinators, and support staff.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, timelines, and budgets for all assigned projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to high-quality standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure projects are completed within approved budgets.
  • Continuously assess and optimize project management processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal departments, to ensure program success.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project closure reports.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with company & industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues within project teams or with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Certificate is a plus.
  • 5+ years of management experience with a solid understanding of Customer Service, Employee Relations, and Team Building.
  • Financial understanding of Profit and Loss at the project lead level.
  • Experience with project management related software; experience with SmartSheet is a plus.
  • Interest in technological innovation and advancement.
  • Ability to read, grasp, and apply contractual information as part of managing a project management team.
  • Solid negotiation skills with the ability to resolve concerns positively.
  • Sound business acumen and understanding of what drives company profits.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication with all stakeholders of a project, including employees, clients, and vendors.
