About the position

The Director of Project Management at National Signage Company is responsible for overseeing the entire project management department, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and meet client expectations. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, client communication, risk management, and continuous improvement of project management processes. The Director will work closely with various stakeholders to develop a scalable project management infrastructure that aligns with the company's business objectives and fosters a high-performance team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall project management strategy for the signage company.
  • Align project management goals with the company's business objectives.
  • Ensure that project management processes are consistent with the organization's long-term vision.
  • Oversee and manage a team of project managers, coordinators, and support staff.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, timelines, and budgets for all assigned projects.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Allocate resources and manage project schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Communicate project progress, updates, and potential issues to clients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Implement effective risk management processes to minimize project disruptions.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to high-quality standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits to guarantee exceptional results.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure projects are completed within approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to provide accurate financial reporting.
  • Control project costs while maintaining quality and meeting client expectations.
  • Continuously assess and optimize project management processes and workflows.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality in project execution.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal departments, to ensure program success.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project closure reports.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with company & industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues within project teams or with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Project Management Certificate is a plus.
  • 5+ years of management experience with a solid understanding of Customer Service, Employee Relations, and Team Building.
  • Financial understanding of Profit and Loss at the project lead level.
  • Experience with project management related software; experience with SmartSheet is a plus.
  • Interest in technological innovation and advancement.
  • Ability to read, grasp, and apply contractual information as part of managing a project management team.
  • Solid negotiation skills with the ability to resolve concerns in a positive manner.
  • Sound business acumen and understanding of what drives company profits.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication with all stakeholders of a project, including employees, clients, and vendors.

  • Experience in the signage industry.
