About the position

Popfully is a new snack brand that includes both ready-to-eat and microwave popcorn. We are seeking a National Sales Manager for our Miami, FL location, who will play a crucial role in launching our new popcorn brand across the United States. This position is pivotal in contributing innovative ideas and business strategies based on consumer feedback, category landscape analysis, and competitive assessments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with the agency hired to launch the product nationwide, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with regional managers to track sales progress and address any inquiries. The National Sales Manager will develop presentations to onboard new stakeholders and assist with sales calls, working closely with regional managers to create comprehensive sales plans, manage promotional activities, and devise effective strategies. This role also involves providing consolidated feedback to upper management and collaborating with existing distributors to enhance business growth and create momentum in the U.S. market. The candidate will be tasked with developing and executing brand strategies, messaging, and campaigns, while establishing standardized reporting, KPIs, and forecasts for each distributor. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will conduct face-to-face meetings with distributors to drive brand awareness and market share, identify and build relationships with key accounts, retailers, and distributors within the FMCG space, and generate new business through prospecting and networking. Maintaining accurate records within the CRM of all sales and prospecting activities is essential, as is conducting in-depth market research and analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for brand differentiation. Ultimately, the National Sales Manager will ensure that all sales targets are met and exceeded for the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationship with agency hired to launch product throughout the United States.
  • Meet with individual regional managers weekly to get updates on sales progress and answer questions.
  • Develop presentations to onboard new stakeholders and help with sales calls.
  • Work with individual regional managers to create sales plans, manage promotional activity, and create strategy.
  • Give consolidated feedback to upper management.
  • Work with existing distributors to grow the business and create momentum within the US market.
  • Develop and execute brand strategy, messaging, and create campaigns.

  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and reaching out to leads generated via marketing efforts that include trade shows and digital/print campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and steps for follow up.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscapes and opportunities for brand differentiation.
  • Ensure that all sales targets are met and exceeded for the brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of practical experience in a similar position within the FMCG food industry in the United States with a proven track record of successful growth and sales.
  • Experience and contacts with large multi-national companies such as Costco, Target, Walmart, and other similar companies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills: clear and concise, able to influence and present any concept.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a high-performing team environment while meeting strict timelines.
