About the position

The National Spine Financial Analyst for CST at Medtronic plays a crucial role in supporting the US Spine sales team by providing financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights. This position involves collaborating with sales and leadership to drive revenue growth, analyze performance metrics, and support decision-making processes. The analyst will be responsible for generating financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and identifying opportunities for improvement within the CST business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead US Spine sales analyst for the CST business.
  • Coordinate US Spine revenue forecasting and analysis of growth initiatives.
  • Drive near-term and long-term field outlooks for US Spine.
  • Design and generate revenue reporting for CST leadership and senior Medtronic leadership.
  • Identify, measure, and report on strategic initiatives and gap management in US Spine.
  • Perform Executive-level analysis of sales performance, productivity, and profitability.
  • Own national trend-based and growth initiative driven revenue forecasts.
  • Deliver Executive-level monthly/quarterly financial packages highlighting key drivers of revenue performance.
  • Partner with business on mid & long term revenue expectations including new products and competitive impacts.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and AOP process including resource trade-off decisions.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned and collaborate with various teams to optimize reporting and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting OR Advanced Degree with 8+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering is preferred.
  • MBA degree in Finance is desirable.
  • Contracting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deliver tough messages.
  • Sound analytical skills and ability to manipulate and interpret data for decision making.
  • Excellent written/oral communication & presentation skills.
