About the position

The National Technical Sales Manager (NTSM) is responsible for leading Territory Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers within the End User Vertical. This role focuses on achieving revenue goals, fostering strong customer relationships, and enhancing the overall customer experience. The NTSM will develop and implement strategic sales plans, mentor the sales team, and act as a technical resource for project management and sales teams. This hybrid position requires 40% travel and 60% onsite work, ideally suited for candidates near Conroe, TX or Sharon, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Territory Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers to achieve revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, focusing on General Managers, Engineers, and Owners.
  • Monitor customer feedback and address concerns to improve customer experience.
  • Manage and mentor the sales team to maximize performance and foster a high-performing sales culture.
  • Act as a technical expert for the sales team, providing guidance on complex customer needs.
  • Drive the team to meet or exceed revenue goals by implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Analyze sales performance and make data-driven adjustments to achieve targets.
  • Investigate and strategize on competitor and market information in the power rental industry.
  • Develop and execute an annual sales strategy in collaboration with the Director of USA Rentals.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused approach and strong understanding of market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales data to inform decision making.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Excellent listening skills and task management skills.
  • Understanding of temporary power products and services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including beyond regular hours.
  • Experience working in a CRM, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, with intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional telephone manner and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Operations teams.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Experience with SAPB1 ERP is considered an asset.
