About the position

The Civil/Mechanical Engineer will join the ICE Team at Wade Trim to enhance infrastructure projects in Texas. This role requires a bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience. The engineer will be responsible for designing various natural gas projects, performing civil site designs, and preparing construction plans while maintaining excellent client relations and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Design various natural gas projects including distribution mains, transmission pipelines, metering & regulating facilities, and launcher/receiver assemblies.
• Perform civil site design, trenchless installation design, utility conflict analysis, and traffic control plan design.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans using client, local, state, or other applicable standards.
• Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Document design changes and communications.
• Conduct on-site observations as needed.
• Prepare project status and other reports.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals.
• Assist Project Managers as needed.
• Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.
• Attend seminars and/or training classes.
• Maintain excellent client relations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Exposure to Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with Engineering based programs (GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid, and other similar engineering software) is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Fundamentals of Engineering and ability to test for PE preferred.
