We have an outstanding leadership opportunity for a US West Region Natural Resources and Impact Assessment & Permitting (NRIAP) Relationship Manager. Our NRIAP practice in the US West region includes ecologists, environmental scientists, and technical professionals that deliver a range of innovative services associated with the natural and aquatic environments. Our solutions create lasting community benefit including safer drinking water, improved natural resource management, and the protection of ecosystems for biodiversity and community wellbeing. Services include: freshwater and marine ecology, marine resource management, water planning and management, wetland and waterway restoration, ecosystem restoration and rehabilitation, arborist assessments, biodiversity offset and compensation strategies, construction oversight, offshore marine baseline surveys, flora and fauna impact assessments, natural resource damage assessment, ecological risk assessment, and compliance monitoring. We also cover environmental, wildfire, forestry, and threatened or endangered species management, monitoring, and assessment. As a Relationship Manager, you will work closely with the Regional and National Environment market leaders, NRIAP Business Group Leader, and Regional General Manager. GHD is looking for a professional with experience in planning, regulatory compliance, and environmental assessment of projects with a focus on municipal, marine and coastal, and offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, agencies, and environmental issues. The candidate will also have strong technical writing, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of the relevant federal and state laws and policies. The candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively and deliver high-quality products and services to clients in the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and execution of the growth strategy for the US West NRIAP Market
  • Build and foster effective relationships with key clients
  • Collaborate with Regional Environment Market Lead and Sector Lead(s) to implement appropriate business development, sales and marketing strategies for the NRIA practice across the West Region of the U.S.
  • Participate in visibility activities including approved conferences
  • Seamlessly collaborate with leadership and resources across GHD to bring solutions to local clients
  • Support project delivery leadership as a Project Director or Project Manager as assigned
  • Lead best practice project delivery, making key technical contributions to projects
  • Coordinate the work of team members to deliver creative solutions
  • Direct project teams, administer contractual aspects of the project, and maintain a client-facing role
  • Direct pricing, scoping, and winning strategies for amendments and follow-on work
  • Ensure adherence to GHD's QA/QC plans including meeting established Quality KPIs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, or a related field; Master's degree or higher preferred
  • At least 15 years of experience in the field of environmental consulting, with a focus on natural resources, environmental assessment, and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional track record in client development and project execution for NRIA projects
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the federal and state environmental laws and regulations, such as NEPA and CEQA
  • Proven track record of developing and leading complex environmental projects and delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
