About the position

The Natural Resources Technician 2 position is a full-time role within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, focused on maintaining park facilities and providing excellent customer service to park visitors. The role involves outdoor work in various beautiful parks in Ohio, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of park users.

Responsibilities

• Work outside in various parks in Ohio
• Perform customer service functions to ensure customer satisfaction and safety
• Maintain campground facilities, grounds, and equipment
• Maintain a variety of park equipment
• Engage in field operations including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, masonry, and operating hand and power tools
• Interact daily with customers utilizing park and watercraft facilities

Requirements

• 6 months of training or experience in semi-skilled maintenance functions (e.g., minor electrical repair, rough plumbing repairs, carpentry, masonry)
• 6 months of training or experience in equipment safety practices
• 6 months of training or experience in the use of shop, hand, and power tools
• 6 months of training or experience in the operation of mowers and trucks
• 6 months of training or experience in equipment maintenance
• Valid driver's license
