About the position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Navy Maintenance Database Coordinator Support person to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is crucial as it supports the Operations Project Manager and involves a variety of responsibilities related to the maintenance and modernization of U.S. Navy surface ships. The successful candidate will develop metrics in support of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and perform research to assist in the development and submission of template proposals to SURFMEPP MSCMO. Additionally, the coordinator will assist the NMD Coordinator with daily tasks related to specification development and availability execution support. A thorough understanding of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, ship repair planning, and estimating requirements is essential for this position. The candidate should also possess a detailed understanding of U.S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization planning processes. Familiarity with the Validation, Screening, and Brokering (VSB) automated information system is also required. This position demands excellent communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation and a proven track record of supervising teams in a military or shipyard environment. The Navy Maintenance Database Coordinator Support role is a mid-level position that requires at least an associate degree and three years of experience working with senior-level management. Candidates must have U.S. government security experience and an active DoD Secret security clearance, which must be maintained throughout employment. Prior military experience, particularly with the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps, is preferred, as is experience in ship modernization and maintenance practices. The role offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
