The Navy SME - Software QA Analyst position at Cydecor, Inc. involves supporting the U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Command by ensuring the quality of software through rigorous testing. The role requires expertise in Navy personnel and maintenance management, and it offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both onsite and remote work. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Software Development Team to maintain high standards of quality in software products.

Responsibilities

• Write, execute, and maintain test scripts and queries
• Communicate daily with the Software Development Team
• Ensure software quality through various testing techniques
• Identify, document, and prioritize technical issues and bugs
• Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Gather and document business requirements

Requirements

• At least 4+ years of experience supporting Navy Personnel, Maintenance, Supply, Training, or Ordnance Management
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and process improvement experience
• Experience in a Navy or other DoD work environment
• Ability to work as a member of a team or individually
• Self-starter with a desire to learn the skills needed to be a software tester

Nice-to-haves

• Lean/Six-Sigma experience or certification
• Software development experience
• Experience in writing test cases, creating test scenarios, executing test scripts, and analyzing test results
• Expertise with system testing, integration testing, functional testing, backend testing, regression testing, or user acceptance testing
• Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
