NB1482 AVP Quality Control Portfolio Analyst

About the position

Northfield Bank is seeking a full-time AVP Quality Control Portfolio Analyst to join the Credit Review Team. This position requires a candidate with at least 5 years of credit analysis or portfolio management experience. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and possess credit underwriting experience with both Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Real Estate transactions. The role involves assessing trends and providing assistance to Credit Administration for monitoring, reporting, audit preparation, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor various aspects related to the loan portfolio.
• Quality control monitoring/reporting of Portfolio Managers for asset-based loans to ensure borrowing base and field exams are being completed.
• Quality control testing of borrowing base analysis.
• Quality control testing of periodic review risk rating recommendations made by Credit Analysts/Portfolio Managers.
• Act as a liaison for document requests for commercial administration audits, loan reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Responsible for vendor management of Credit Administration vendors and performance review of appraisers in accordance with the Bank's Credit Policy.
• Monitor loan modifications for trouble debt modifications for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Manage re-appraisal process for non-performing loans and serve as the liaison for the commercial loan appraisal management company.
• Order appraisals for loans that are downgraded to substandard.
• Quality control monitoring of problem/watch loans to ensure that the status reviews are being completed timely.
• Monitor Special Mention loans to ensure timeliness for further upgrades or downgrades.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and client information.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of credit analysis or portfolio management experience.
• Credit underwriting experience with both C&I and Real Estate transactions.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
