About the position

The Sales Intern at NBCUniversal will engage in various aspects of the sales profession, focusing on a diverse portfolio that includes NBC programming, Peacock, and marketing partnerships. This internship provides an opportunity to learn about lead generation, sales material creation, and collaboration with multiple departments to develop creative marketing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Researching business categories and exploring new growth/emerging brands for lead generation.
  • Navigating and learning across various platforms including Digital, Web Research, Mobile, Social Media, Sports, Television, and Sponsorships.
  • Assisting in the creation of sales/marketing materials such as daily one-sheets, sales presentations, and recaps.
  • Maintaining updated tracking documents and handling special requests.
  • Attending internal and external client business meetings, both in-person and virtual.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions for creative marketing solutions for clients.
  • Collaborating with sales, programming, and marketing departments to bring partnerships and concepts to life.
  • Executing all sales assignments for both local and national markets.
  • Providing various administrative support on daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the internship duration (June 2025 through August 2025).
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Willingness to work in Chicago, IL.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
