About the position

The NC Programmer position at Intergen involves analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications to support manufacturing processes. The role requires the development and maintenance of tooling and fixture definitions, as well as the creation of CAM programs for Numerical Controlled equipment. The programmer will also provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to cost control standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, and Quality Documents.
  • Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences.
  • Develop, create, and maintain Tooling/Fixture definitions for manufacturing operations.
  • Execute creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment.
  • Develop, create, and maintain Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs.
  • Support producibility assessments when requested.
  • Maintain records and schedules of work assigned.
  • Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Train, direct, instruct, mentor, and validate Production Engineering work.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform essential functions related to GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of NC Programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing, and Planning processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with GD&T and Aerospace tolerances.
  • Familiarity with aircraft manufacturing processes.
