About the position
The NC FAST Salesforce Application Developer will support the maintenance and enhancement of the Salesforce Provider Portal within the NC FAST application, specifically for the Emergency Child Care Subsidy Program. This role involves overall development and product management of the portal, ensuring it meets the needs of childcare providers serving essential workers. The developer will be responsible for compiling requirements, managing risks, defining user roles, and optimizing the application for better usability and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and enhancement of the Salesforce Provider Portal.
- Compile requirements for the Salesforce application to enable varied business functions.
- Manage risks and issues associated with design choices.
- Support definition of user roles and profiles, security settings, and access settings.
- Identify opportunities for application optimization, integration, redesign, or development.
- Design applications to support business processes and reporting requirements.
- Identify production risks and areas for improvement.
- Update and develop custom validations and/or code based on business requirements.
- Support configuration updates to the Salesforce environment.
- Explore options to increase usability of existing Subsidized Child Care provider portal.
Requirements
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certification
- Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certification
- 4 years of experience using Salesforce Platform Community, Service Cloud, and Gov Cloud
- 4 years of experience with Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL)
- 7 years of experience using Shield and Lightning
- 7 years of experience with object-oriented languages such as Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, and Ruby
- 7 years of experience with Model View Controller (MVC) architecture and component-based architecture
- 7 years of experience with requirements analysis and business process design
- 7 years of experience with Salesforce Flows
- 3 years of experience with developing Lightning components (Both Aura and LWC)
- 3 years of experience with Copado Release Management
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
- Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant Certification
