About the position

As a Surgery Scheduling Coordinator at NuVasive Clinical Services, a subsidiary of Globus Medical, you will play a crucial role in the scheduling of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) services for surgical cases. This position is remote and requires a professional and personable individual who can effectively manage scheduling requests from client surgeons and hospitals. You will be responsible for handling scheduling requests via phone, email, and fax, ensuring that all cases are scheduled accurately and efficiently. Your role will also involve assisting the billing department by gathering necessary ICD10 coding and insurance coverage information for patients. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will be in constant contact with hospital and surgeon clients. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be required to obtain and enter clinical information necessary for patient care into our scheduling system. Familiarity with medical terminology or prior experience in the medical field is advantageous. In this role, you will schedule daily and emergent cases, confirm all next-day cases, and ensure that regular ‘check-in' calls are made with special clients. You will develop and maintain relationships with surgeon and hospital schedulers, customizing case scheduling routines to meet their specific needs. Addressing client issues to their satisfaction and documenting these issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will coordinate with the after-hours answering service regarding on-call schedules, regional configurations, and dispatch policies. You will be expected to perform other responsibilities as assigned and adhere to the company's Code of Conduct and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
