About the position

The Non-Registered Radiological Technician (NCT) position at CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, involves providing quality radiology services and supporting patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The role emphasizes timely and accurate radiology procedures, quality control, and collaboration with clinic staff to ensure high customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
  • Conduct quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
  • Perform drug screens, urinalysis, and other in-house lab tests, including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
  • Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
  • Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator, and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure occupational client's preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
  • Perform routine office functions including copying, faxing, scanning, mailing, sorting, and filing of patient and clinic materials as appropriate.
  • Be cross-trained for Front Desk duties, including greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, and performing End of Day close out procedures.
  • Assist with general patient care when needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is beneficial.
  • NCT - A Non-Certified Technician license in Texas is required.
  • The ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start is required.
  • Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
  • NCT License issued by the Board of Medical Examiners/Texas Department of State Health Services is required.
