About the position
The NDI Level III Technician position at Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) involves providing critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services across various industries. The role requires a qualified technician to support ATS Richmond and other locations in Virginia and eastern North Carolina, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client expectations while also mentoring trainees.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes and administer written and practical exams.
- Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
- Familiarize with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and provide on-the-job training (OJT) and guidance to trainees.
- Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities.
- Prepare written instructions and organize and report the results of examinations.
- Work independently and support team members in various tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Meet the minimum requirements of a Level III Technician with documentation of education, training, and experience in applicable NDT methods.
- Have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other departments and customers to report issues and solve problems.
