About the position

Acuren is currently seeking an NDT Level II Technician specializing in MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing), VT (Visual Testing), and UTSW (Ultrasonic Testing with Shear Waves) for our Stonecrest, GA location. This position is integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality nondestructive testing services that ensure the safety and reliability of critical infrastructures across various industries. As an NDT Level II Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting tests to ensure quality, and detecting discontinuities (defects) using various NDT methods of inspection. You will establish techniques for the proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. In this role, you will apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results meticulously. You will interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators to assess the integrity of materials and components. Organizing and reporting test results accurately is crucial, as is performing specialized inspections as required. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to instruct and supervise others in the application of NDT techniques, contributing to the development of your team and the overall quality of our services. Other job-related tasks may be assigned by management as needed, allowing for a dynamic work environment where you can grow and develop your skills.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • Certified Level II RT, MT, PT, UTT, and CR
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment
  • Experience in report writing
