About the position

The NDT/NDI Technician at Williams International is responsible for conducting various non-destructive testing methods to ensure that parts meet manufacturing standards and specifications. This role requires working either afternoon or night shifts after an initial training period. The technician will utilize ultrasonic inspection and other methods to inspect parts, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasonic inspection using pulse echo and linear/phased array equipment.
• Perform penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiographic, or eddy current inspections as necessary.
• Manufacture and test parts according to engineering and customer standards.
• Visually inspect parts for burrs or damaged surfaces.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and tool marks from machined parts.
• Maintain proper identification of parts and ensure accurate documentation.
• Communicate shift requirements to team members.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Clean and organize the manufacturing work area according to standards.
• Ensure continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell.
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in training and development of other specialists.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED with 3-5 years of experience in at least three NDI methods (PT, UT, RT preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a Level II in the three methods.
• Certifiable as an NAS 410 Level II.
• Certification in penetrant inspection is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprint drawings.
• Effective communication skills with team members and management.
• Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, push/pull 60 pounds, and reach above shoulder level.
