About the position

The position involves becoming certified in various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and maintaining these certifications throughout employment. The employee will perform inspections according to established procedures and ensure compliance with quality standards while working closely with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Certify to level-2 in both Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI) and Digital Radiography (DR) within 2 years of NDT start date.
  • Complete 3 certification tests to achieve certification goals (Level 2 - FPI, Level-1 & 2 - DR).
  • Complete level-2 recertifications every 5 years.
  • Understand and comply with all procedures associated with NDT and assigned tasks.
  • Operate required equipment, perform systems checks, and conduct routine maintenance.
  • Read prints/process drawings associated with AA TECH products.
  • Develop techniques for future AA TECH products and improve processes to enhance inspection results or reduce ergonomic concerns.
  • Examine hundreds of parts daily for various defects while striving for a near-perfect quality record.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand detailed work instructions, procedures, and drawings.
  • Strong computer skills, including creating spreadsheets and Word documents, developing techniques and formulas in Excel, and data entry in various software suites.
  • Basic math and algebra skills are required, with verification upon test completion.
  • General science comprehension is required.
  • Successful completion of an eye test is mandatory.
  • Must meet and maintain all requirements within Q09-02-4001 and NAS-410 for certifications in NDT methods.
